Summer Plans Empty Summer Plans

Post by Charlie48 Sun Jun 16, 2013 7:01 am

It's the middle of June, the summer holidays are nearly upon us, so what are your plans?
Holiday somewhere? Getting a job/doing something productive? Looking forward to anything?

Looking for a job at the moment, slim chance though. Don't think that anything else is happening where I am though. Oooh, we've got a J.D Wetherspoons (undoubtedly the best restaurant ever in my opinion) opening in my town though, so I'm trying to go there as well.

You can always get a paper round, although I believe you can still get a summer job at the age of13, so you should be able to.

Under the covers, you can.

Go and help the farmer out, you know, get up at 6 and feed his cows

You need to be qualified to do even that. Just to explain, I live in the countryside where there is no paper round!

You don't need any qualifications to mow your own lawn for your dad, or take the bins out, or take the dog for a walk, or ....

Well, it is already July 10th and I feel like I have accomplished a lot this summer... I have taken care of a lot of projects that I have been wanting to get done- remodeled my kitchen (my husband and I), planted a garden and am beginning to harvest...cleaned out various closets and cubbyholes as well as spent time at the pool and BBQ's with kids and family. The summer is flying by though, I don't want it to end. I have too much that I want to do before fall hits. Things I still want to do... take my family on a camping trip.

Wow, that's probably more than I'll do all summer haha.

Just thought of it aswell: We've booked a holiday so I'll be going away for that as well this summer.
