Getting more Members

Is there a plan or strategy for getting new members in or is everyone going on word of mouth?

Promotion forums and the current members sharing it. The more you do the better it is

Yes, it is. This is obviously a strong community and so should bring lots of users.

But at the same time, we need to be careful about what type of people see it.

Spammers get blocked here. Better that they know and then are just blocked here.

Well, the verification code can only block blind people and automated machines from creating account. So, for instance, the Google bot would not be able to register on the site. But any spammers that had a valid non-spam email address could easily get on. And there's this one Topic contains an advertisement that you may have locked but you did not remove. So people can still click the link and go to that website.

Annoyingly, most of the spamming bots these days are human assisted. The Human can get past all the verification stuff, then let the bot do its thing.

Now that we have mysterious and watchdog back, we have a couple more active users. And watchdog I do think it would be a good idea to post the link on Facebook. The more users, the better.
